I did this from a writing exercise in the book, The 3 A.M. Epiphany. The exercise involves taking a person's name and writing a short scene using words only created with letters from that name. I used my wife's name for this scene.

It was very much a challenge. The exercise forced me to really think about what I was writing. The toughest part of the exercise was having a limited use of prepositions. Without n's and o's, there weren't a lot of them to choose from. It's not great, but it's a stretch of my skills. Here it goes:

She cruises hastily by a bakery but barely has the time. She embraces the smell that greets her. Huckleberry eclairs, blueberry tarts, sticky cakes. The grace her face has besets her beauty. A cat chases its game. She beams as she remembers her cute little girl’s ecstasy. Her girl treasures cats. Her girl’s face beams at all cats. A sigh. She submits, buys eight tarts, cash.

“Yeah, they’ll like these,” she muses.

She emerges, her gait cheery. A light gust shakes the bag; she cries. She grabs the tarts.

She stares at the tarts. Stares.

“Resist,” she mumbles.

Yet, she eats a tart.

“Yum,” she smiles.
